Hello:  I find <tr> and <td> entries of interest in your explanations of e.g. ls9 database.  I can find a very brief explanation of them, but I can't find a real definition document.  In the help files here, there are questions like "what the units of phot_g" or something like this, but the answers seem "out of the blue".  i'm looking for something like "goto catalogs>about and at the bottom of the page there is the link to the explanatory suplement for every catalog."

If there is no standardization at all, then you can just send me to the science definitions and units for the fields in the ls9, ls10, and pann-stars. I am specifically looking for the units of half-light radius in legacy survey data.

Thanks,

Hi Bruce,

thanks for reaching out. I believe you will find the information you are looking for on the pages of the Legacy Survey itself (the producer of the dataset):

https://www.legacysurvey.org/dr9/catalogs/

We take your suggestion to heart though to include units for more fields (where available) in the future!
