Hi,

I wonder what it means when it shows "obs_bandpass: bokr" after I put in ra and dec for an object. Is that a combination of different bandpasses?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your question! "bokr" comes from combining the "bok" part of the University of Arizona Steward Observatory 2.3m (90inch) Bart Bok Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory (AKA the Bok telescope) and the "r" part of r-band. So the image cutout you see with "obs_bandpass:bokr" was taken by the Bok telescope in the r-band. Here's a link to the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys overview paper if you need more info: https://arxiv.org/abs/1804.08657
