Hiya again,

For another project, I'm looking at quasars in the LS DR10 imaging, with the DR1-spectra positions overlaid. I was expecting to see a redshift but there is only a yellow circle, with a smaller radius than for the stars (circled in red), galaxies (circled in white), and 'HIZ QSO's (circled in blue). Please could someone explain what this represents?

Kind wishes,

Sarah

Hi Sarah,
From asking Dustin, I got this:

"

my guess is you have the DESI "Targets" overlay turned on, perhaps in addition to the DESI Spectra.  Targets are the set of objects we *wanted* to observe, but may not have observed.
At any time, if you click on the map background, you should get a popup with a "Link Here" link -- this should give you a full URL that you can share with someone else to see what you're seeing.  (Aside from the brightness/contrast sliders).

"
You could also get some help from the SkyViewer Tips & Tricks page.

Please let uf know if this helps.
Cheers,
David
