Incorrect upload of string fields in FITS file

Tried to upload via datalab mydb_import a FITS file that contains, among other data, string columns. However, when I later make "select * from mydb://tablename", I get only the first character from every string column. What can be wrong?

Thank you for the bug report. The problem has been fixed and will be deployed to production shortly, I'll post a followup once it is ready, unfortunately there is no workaround at the moment other than to convert the file to CSV before uploading.
